Brisk Walk with a Limp
Video sent by rafianimates
Another little mechanics test. This guy's got a limp. He's had it for so long, it doesn't stop him from moving quickly when he needs to.
Pencil tests, stop-mo experiments, CG or even puppetry are all possible when posting a walk every week on this blog.

Gangly Guy walk

A sort of sloppy but rigid walk, he kinda stomped his feet down, took wide strides and seemed to flick his hands out at the end of the loose swing of his arms. As I recall, his head didn't just bob up and down with his steps but forward and back too! There was an off-beat rhythm to the way his spine leaned forward.

This week's walk is a simple "vanilla" walk on 1's. Also done in PAP.
All future walks will be posted on Mondays.

The first walk is a little test I did in PAP (Plastic Animation Paper).
I got hold of version 4.0 of the software earlier this week, despite being labelled "beta" it's stable and fun to work with.
PAP is really well designed too - very intuitive for animators IMHO.
